• Toyota and Graeter have teamed up to offer ice cream sandwiches.
  • $86 Salted Caramel Chip Wheels will be sold exclusively online.
  • The collab is designed to promote the Sienna’s available FridgeBox.

Minivans might have a boring reputation, but Toyota’s marketing for the Sienna has always been a little ‘out there.’ The company famously launched the Swagger Wagon campaign in 2010 and has introduced oddities such as the Sienna:Remix, which featured 60 speakers and a retractable roof that opened to reveal a fully functional DJ booth.

The weirdness continues today with an unexpected collaboration between Toyota and Graeter’s Ice Cream. The partnership has spawned a new ice cream cookie sandwich known as Salted Caramel Chip Wheels.

Billed as “the sweetest way to roll,” they’re a revamped version of Graeter’s Chip Wheelies. As the name suggests, the sandwiches have salted caramel ice cream between two double chocolate chip cookies. They’re then rolled in “chocolate jimmies,” which appear to be sprinkles.

The Salted Caramel Chip Wheels are offered exclusively online and come in a 12-pack, featuring individually wrapped sandwiches that are 4 oz each. A package costs $86 before shipping and they’ll be available while supplies last.

While the tie-up is unusual, it’s designed to promote the FridgeBox on the Sienna Platinum. It features a cool and freeze mode, with the latter being ideal for storing ice cream sandwiches for an after game treat.

Toyota’s Owen Peacock said, “Great partnerships start with a shared commitment to quality and a passion for creating the best experiences for those who matter most. Graeter’s brings that same level of care and craftsmanship to its ice cream that Toyota brings to its vehicles, making this collaboration a natural fit.” He went on to say the Sienna’s available FridgeBox “adds a fun, unexpected way for families to bring a little more enjoyment to the journey.”
