- Dodge has introduced two new options for the 2027 Durango.
- New Smokescreen color inspired by recent concept vehicle.
- Blue seat option on Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak.
The Charger Super Bee was the star of Roadkill Nights back in August, but the model wasn’t alone as Dodge also introduced the Durango R/T 392 Smokescreen concept. While it largely flew under the radar, some of its elements are now going into production.
The big news is that the 2027 Durango can now be ordered in a concept’s Smokescreen color. The hue costs $595 and is billed as a “lighter-shade alternative to Destroyer Gray.” That being said, the color has more of a smoky white appearance that seems to shift in various lighting conditions.

Dodge CEO Matt McAlear noted the original concept was a “thinly veiled way of testing the waters” and the “reaction was fantastic.” The executive added, “When customers tell us they love something, we listen. Their feedback helped accelerate our plans and bring this from concept to reality, giving owners another way to make Durango stand out.”
While the production paint job misses out on the contrasting blue accents seen on the concept, Smokescreen is the Durango’s third new color in as many months. Its addition means there are now ten options including After Dark, B5 Blue, Destroyer Gray, Green Machine, Night Moves, Pitch Black, Red Oxide, Redeye, and White Knuckle.
Besides a new paint color, the 2027 Durango gains Petrol Blue Laguna leather seats. They’re available exclusively on the range-topping Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak, which starts at $82,490 before a $1,995 destination fee.
The seats are a fitting addition as the Jailbreak embraces customization. They’re a $2,995 option and feature silver contrast stitching as well as embossed SRT Hellcat logos on the backrests. When ordered, the model has a six-seat arrangement with second-row captain’s chairs that are separated by a center console.
