• It’s a modern interpretation of Marty McFly’s 1985 dream truck.
  • Truck sports a 2.5-inch lift, KC lights, and 17-inch wheels with 33-inch tires.
  • Dealership is asking $70,725 and the model has a hybrid engine with 326 hp.

Hollywood has learned nostalgia sells. This has given us terrible Star Wars sequels and prequels, far too many Transformers movies, and some pretty uneven takes on the Jurassic Park legacy.

Longo Toyota of Prosper, Texas is now tapping into the trend and they’re doing it with a Tacoma inspired by the one in the Back to the Future franchise. While the original film came out in 1985, this build is based on a 2026 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport.

Review: Toyota Tacoma Hybrid Spices Up Winning Ingredients

To match Marty McFly’s dream truck, this Tacoma has been equipped with $16,985 worth of upgrades including a Fab Fours front bumper, a Go Rhino sport bar, and six KC Daylighter lights that are controlled by a Nacho Lighting switch panel. To help complete the look, there’s a 2.5 inch (64 mm) lift as well as 17-inch Method wheels wrapped in 33-inch Mickey Thompson Baja Legend MTZ tires.

Those are reasonable additions, but they’re joined by tinted windows, a bed step, side steps, and a black tailgate insert. The dealer also installed a dash cam, spray-on bed liner, a black chrome exhaust tip, and a larger 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia system. All in, this tribute package costs about as much as a used Corolla.

Thanks to all these options, accessories, and add-ons, the original $52,941 price tag has ballooned to $70,725. That’s pretty expensive for a mid-size truck, especially when the Tacoma Trailhunter starts at $63,750 and the TRD Pro can be had for $64,750.

On the bright side, the model comes equipped with the i-Force Max powertrain, which consists of a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, a 1.87 kWh nickel-metal hydride battery, and an electric motor that is integrated into the eight-speed automatic transmission. This enables the truck to produce 326 hp (243 kW / 331 PS) and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque.
