Offering additional extras on a car at a reduced price is a tried and tested way to get buyers into showrooms – just don’t expect any performance upgrades from Subaru’s special BRZ.

Made for the Australian market, the 2015 BRZ Special Edition adds AU$7,990 worth of extra equipment on the automatic model and AU$9040 on the manual gearbox edition for a price increment of AU$3,500 over the cost of the regular BRZ, with prices starting from AU$40,650.

What this kit includes are GT stripes, 17-inch STI alloy wheels, a rear diffuser, STI push button start switch, STI boot lip spoiler, STI front, side and rear side under spoilers, STI short shift assembly for the manual and an STI shift knob for the automatic version of the BRZ.

Subaru Australia Managing Director, Nick Senior, commented: “This Special Edition represents tremendous value as it combines the recently announced MY15 enhancements, including suspension tweaks, with some fantastic kit that only adds to its outstanding on-road presence and reputation.”
