Remember that awesome RS6-R from ABT? It used to be our favorite version of Audi’s monstrous family wagon. That is, until this thing came along.

Meet the Audi RS6 DTM, thought up by Swedish freeskiing legend Jon Olsson and designed together with former Koenigsegg chief engineer Leif Tufvesson.

According to Olsson, he’s always “loved the crazy wide-body style of DTM cars and it’s been a dream to build a similar car for the road, but I also need a car that has enough space to carry all my ski gear to the slopes, so the decision was made to see what we could do with an Audi RS6.”

We’re 100% with him on that one. The wide-body kit looks brilliant and choosing the RS6 was also a no-brainer, since it’s got everything you need – looks, power, plenty of room and all-wheel drive.

However what really sounds amazing is what they did with the engine, which is now wearing a pair of 18 karat gold anodized TTE9XX turbochargers, boosting the total power output up to 950 HP, possibly even breaking the 1,000 HP mark if we’re talking race fuel.

Jon’s going to drive this car for Team Betsafe in the Gumball 3000 Rally, which starts in Stockholm on May 23rd and ends in Las Vegas.

Awesome job overall, as far as we’re concerned. In fact, take away the livery and accessories and this thing would look like something out of Mad Max: Fury Road.
