We’ve seen countless of tuners trying to make BMW’s M-spec 4 Series coupe look meaner and more aggressive, but this particular attempt takes the grand prize.

In fact, the only thing that comes anywhere near to this striking looking M4 is Vorsteiner’s endeavour to transform the Bavarian coupe into a wide-bodied monster.

Still, seeing Vorsteiner’s body-kit on dozens of modified M4s is getting kind of repetitive and boring. There’s only so much you can do to impress someone, and after seeing 10 attempts with different wheels, you kind of get fed up with it.

Lucky for us petrolheads, Studie.Ag toghether with Varis – two Japanese tuners – came up with this… thing. If you ever wanted to go JDM on a Bimmer, this is your chance. Look at it! It’s the perfect combination between the future M4 GTS and something taken out of DTM – a spaceship, maybe.

Its wide-body is composed of a revised front and rear bumper, rear and front fender flares, new sideskirts, a new bonnet and a new rear diffuser. But, it’s not like the modifications go unnoticed – you could’ve figure it out all by yourself, without me trying to point out the obvious.

And would you look at the wheels! Those are 19-inch BBS RI-D ultra-lightweight alloys and they look perfect on the car. Of course, judging by all the “sublime” design cues, the BMW was built to resemble something you race up to the race track and when you get there, you race it some more.

It carries the ever-present, race-inspired Japanese tuning-trend, even if it can’t be classified as bosozoku, though. Unfortunately, details about its engine mods (if there are any) are currently unavailable, but we only can imagine what raw power a body like that can hide.
