Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James is looking to silence his critics by responding to certain “mean tweets” in this new ad campaign for the K900.

Whether or not the KIA K900 is fit for a king, certain people didn’t feel like buying what KIA were selling with spots like the one called ‘Special Place’ that came out back in February and had LeBron James rely on his K900 in order to find some peace and quiet around the house.

LeBron is kind of taking things personally and has set out to prove that not only is he driving his KIA K900, but that he was a K900 driver even before he became a KIA ambassador.

This video is the first of three, all part of a campaign called “The Truth” – airing both on TV as well as on KIA’s official YouTube channel. In short, LeBron is going to go after three particular mean tweets, one at a time.

The first one said “I’ll bet anyone $10,000,000 that LeBron doesn’t roll up to the games in a Kia.”

LeBron however will have none of it and challenges the very person who tweeted that message: “I was a Kia K900 driver and fan before we decided to become partners,” said the 11-time NBA All-Star. “For me, a partnership has to be authentic and real to who I am, and that’s what makes this one so special.”

Tim Chaney, VP of marketing for KIA Motors America, commented:that “The award-winning K900 exemplifies the incredible transformation of the Kia brand, and as a taste maker who is not afraid to go his own way, LeBron James plays an important role in our efforts to change perception by challenging consumers to discover the new Kia. LeBron is pushing people to question everything they think they know about our brand, and we could not be more proud of the fact that he can often be seen driving in and around the Cleveland area in a K900.”

Of course, the NBAer consulted with his lawyers (…) first. Nice one, King James.
