Derek Zoolander, the quirky and somewhat irritating male supermodel played by Ben Stiller, is officially the face of the new Fiat 500X ad campaign.

The campaign debuts in anticipation of Paramount Pictures’ Zoolander 2 movie, which is set to hit the big screens in North America on February 12, 2016. The movie stars Ben Stiller as Zoolander and features plenty of other big names such as Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, Penelope Cruz, Kristen Wiig, Fred Armisen and even Milla Jovovich.

This partnership between Paramount and FCA US LLC is hot on the trails of their previous project which centered around Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.

“Joining forces with Paramount Pictures and ‘Zoolander No. 2’ allows us to align the Fiat 500X with a pop culture moment through one of this year’s most anticipated films,” argued Olivier Francois, CMO and head of Fiat at FCA Global. “Having international fashion icon Derek Zoolander, who is known for his distinctive style and playful spirit, behind the wheel of the Fiat 500X provides exceptional relevance to the global message of the FIAT brand.”

Paramount’s LeeAnne Stables added that her company is “thrilled for Derek Zoolander fans around the world to finally see the result of our year-long collaboration with the FIAT team on a campaign so perfectly in sync with his character. These FIAT spots are a hilarious reminder of the fun that audiences will have when the movie releases next month.”

Even if Zoolander isn’t exactly your cup of tea when it comes to comedies, you can still appreciate the star-studded cast, especially with so many ex-SNL cast members in the mix (Ferrell, Wiig, Armisen). As for the 500X, we can actually see the point of the campaign – since it’s not exactly aimed at people looking for practicality, as you’ll quickly realize by seeing how Zoolander behaves in front of a traffic camera.
