Holden has released more details regarding their all-new Spark, set to go on sale in April featuring a wide array of interactive technologies.

This urban-friendly small car comes with a 7″ color touchscreen, and hiding behind it will be Holden’s latest MyLink infotainment system.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto tech is also available across the entire Spark range, as is Siri Eyes Free with voice recognition software, which allows drivers to give verbal commands, ensuring their hands never leave the steering wheel.

Sitting atop the two-variant range is the Spark LT, which comes with keyless entry and push button start tech, rear park assist, rear view camera, cruise control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and white accented interior trim, to go with the chrome accented grilles and window sills.

The entry-level LS model is available with an optional CVT transmission, ESP, hill start assist, USB port, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, Siri Eyes Free and Smartphone Voice Recognition – mind you, make sure you have either an iPhone 5 or newer, or an Android phone with 5.0 Lollipop or higher for optimum compatibility.

“Spark is a car for people who are choosing based on content, looks and performance, not just budgets,” argued marketing exec Geraldine Davys. “That said, we’re proud to be able to offer this incredible range of technology placed into an all-new car, to customers with prices starting at just $14,990 driveaway.”

Customers looking for extra customization will be happy to know that the Spark range comes with a number of specially designed genuine accessories, part of the ‘1,2,3 step’ strategy – where they can choose their wheels and inserts, color theme and finally the interior options.

“Our 1, 2, 3 step strategy is a really easy way to make sure the options customers select work well together to give them the overall look they like and allow them to really express themselves,” said Holden GM of Accessories Steve Manson. “Our full accessory range includes everything from visual additions such as alloy wheels with coloured inserts to more functional items like bonnet protectors and floor mats. It adds another dimension to an already distinctive and sleek city car.”
