A man from Wisconsin is brave enough to attempt setting a new world record for the fastest wheelie on ice.

The rider, Cecil Myers, wants to smash the current record of 206.04 km/h (128.06 mph) set last year by Swede Robert Gull.

During unofficial runs, Myers claims his Kawasaki Ninja H2 has already hit speeds of up to 225.2 km/h (139.9 mph).

The record attempt will take place at Lake Koshkonong in Wisconsin today, with Guinness Book of Records employees on hand to verify the result.

Myers must perform the wheelie for over 100 meters between two designated markers. His peak speed will then be recorded between the markers.

Robert Gull’s record was set with a Honda CBR 1000 RR. Since the 200 hp Ninja H2 is currently the world’s fastest street bike, Myers certainly has the right tool for the job.
