While announcing their North American debuts for this year, Porsche has also taken the time to reveal US pricing for the new entry-level turbocharged Macan.

By bringing the 911 R and the 718 Boxster to NY, Porsche is looking to show customers what their idea of driving pleasure and dynamics looks like in two completely separate yet similar segments.

While the 911 R is a “pure, uncompromised driving machine”, thanks to its naturally-aspirated 500 PS rear-mounted engine, the 718 Boxster is also pegged as a driver’s car, featuring mid-mounted 300 PS and 350 PS engines.

As for the Macan, Porsche will also be showcasing the new entry-level 2.0-liter inline-four cylinder version in NY, along with the Macan S, GTS and the Turbo models. While we already knew the four-pot Macan can do 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.5 seconds, US buyers will probably enjoy hearing how it will hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 6.1 seconds a lot more. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, fuel economy figures stand at 20 mpg (11.7 l/100km) in the city, 25 mpg (9.4 l/100 km) highway and 22 mpg (10.6 l/100km) combined.

The 2017 Macan comes standard with Bi-Xenon headlights, 8-way power front seats, Alcantara seat centers, new-gen PCM, a Piano Black interior package and a lane departure warning system.

Though customers can already order the car starting from $47,500 (plus a $1,050 delivery, processing & handling fee), deliveries aren’t expected to start until July 2016.
