The D90 was among the many new models and concepts launched during this year’s Beijing Auto Show that also announced the arrival of a production model.

Maxus is a sub-brand of the Chinese giant SAIC Motors, whose vehicle lineup doesn’t include much else other than a wide range of family vans and commercial vehicles. All that will soon change thanks to the D90.

We can’t know for sure if the production model will keep the same dimensions as the show car, but if it does it will be 5.1 m (16.7 ft) long, over 2 meters (6.5 ft) wide and 1.9 meters (6.2 ft) tall.

As we can see courtesy of Chinese website Autohome, the concept features almost Mazda-like design lines (KODO), especially at the front. It also reminds us of a few Infiniti front-end designs, but feel free to let us know which production model you think the D90 looks most alike.

Inside there seem to be all the necessary luxuries, including multiple infotainment screens and lounge-style backseat – a lot like the Volvo S90 Excellence’s Lounge Console.
