BMW M3 E30 With 120k Miles Restored – And It’s A Steal

The original M3 became a collectors’ icon over the last few years and it’s well documented that some examples exchanged hands for as much as six figures.

Despite being in pristine condition, as it was restored to its former glory and had its body resprayed, this particular ride is expected to fetch just €38,000-48,000 ($42,360-53,510) when it will go under the hammer at SilverstoneAuctions this weekend.

Since its value has significantly went up, it might seem like a steal, but unlike this 1991 BMW M3, which was driven for just 6,012 miles (9,763 km) throughout its entire lifetime when it was listed for sale, the 1987-made high performance coupe used to put a lot of smiles on its previous owners’ faces, as its odometer currently indicates over 200,000 km (124,275 miles).

Powered by its original 2.3-liter four-banger mill and working with a dogleg 5-speed gearbox to send 192 HP (195 PS) to the rear wheels, this model was delivered new in Germany in 1987, where it remained in the possession of its first two owners. For the past 14 years, the car lived in Denmark and, despite being almost 30 years old, it’s still accompanied by its original German registration papers.
