While there’s a facelifted Colorado coming later this year, Holden has prepped a special edition version of the current model named the LS-X.

Based on the LS guise, the Colorado LS-X adds additional equipment such as front fog lights, Colorado-branded smoked bonnet protector, alloy sports bar, unique LS-X badging and 16-inch alloy wheels.

Changes performed inside are limited to the floor mats, that join the already available MyLink infotainment system that works together with a 7-inch touchscreen display. Available in Oz from this month, the Holden Colorado LS-X has a starting price of $37,990 AUD ($28,885), which is almost $10,000 AUD ($7,600) cheaper over the limited edition, introduced in 2015.

A heavily updated version of the pickup truck is just around the corner, so the LS-X might keep customers coming in until Holden introduces it onto the market. The 2017MY Colorado was shown in Brazil recently sporting a more aggressive front fascia, restyled dashboard and increased range of accessories inspired from the Colorado Xtreme concept. Holden is expected to launch the redesigned Colorado in Australia towards the end of this year.
