Citroen’s premium sub-brand teamed up with French haute couture brand Givenchy to create a new limited edition of the DS3.

The new DS3 Givenchy Le MakeUp will be available both as a hatchback and a cabrio, powered by the turbocharged 110hp 1.2-litre three-pot engine paired to either a manual or an automatic transmission.

“The New DS 3 GIVENCHY Le MakeUp expresses the finest expertise of two leading brands in one creation”, said Thierry Metroz, Design Director of DS. “Givenchy is a recognised name, embodying a distinctive, modern, creative approach to luxury and placing considerable emphasis on materials, textures and colours, just as we do.”

One of the highlights of this new limited edition is the bespoke Givenchy Le MakeUp kit stored in a special compartment in the driver’s armrest, allowing both the driver and the front passenger to “apply and check their make-up before driving”. DS has also installed special LED lighting to both sun visor mirrors “to ensure he best possible illumination, day and night”.

Painted in an exclusive matt Opaline White paint finish, this limited DS3 features the obligatory special Givenchy Le MakeUp badging, with the cabin featuring a Rose Pink dashboard and black leather upholstery.

“In my imagination, I dreamed that this car would enhance the beauty of women,” said Nicolas Degennes, Artistic Director for Makeup and Colour, Givenchy. “They would be beautiful because they would be at the wheel of this New DS 3, a car that is already making its mark on its times.”

Prices for the new DS3 Givenchy Le MakeUp start from £19,395 for the hatchback and £21,695 for the Cabrio version in the UK market which will get 500 cars.
