A battery is a battery, no matter what your ride is and supercars certainly are not excluded from potential issues – yes, even ones like the Pagani Huayra that are worth several million dollars.

More often than not, actually, it comes with the territory, for most owners do not exercise them as often as is necessary to keep the battery in good shape and, though trickle chargers are almost always used, there’s always the possibility of a failure.

Whatever the cause, this Huayra owner attending the 2016 CF Charities Supercar Show in Warminster, Pennsylvania, over the weekend was left with a drained battery. So he did what almost all of us have at least once in our lives: search for jump cables and a donor vehicle to help resuscitate the engine.

Rescue came from a BMW X6 M driver. Sure enough, seconds after turning the key in the ignition brought the Mercedes-AMG-sourced bi-turbo V12 back to life, to the delight of some very enthusiastic bystanders who started applauding. Mission accomplished. Now, let’s get it running and make a mental note to tell the nice guy back at the workshop to change the damn thing.
