Police in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia are on the hunt for the driver of a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 who was filmed driving at more than 186 mph (300 km/h) on a public road. As we’ve seen so many times in the past, it was a clip shared on social media that first captured the attention of local authorities.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Nova Scotia said late last week that they were investigating the “dangerous driving incident” following the publication of a TikTok video on September 12. This clip, which is absolutely terrifying, both demonstrates the high-speed capabilities of the current Corvette Z06 and proves just how dim-witted some motorists are.

In the near one-minute clip, the Z is filmed traveling at roughly 186 mph (300 km/h) for an extended period of time. At one stage, the driver takes a left-hand bend at roughly 174 mph (280 km/h), appearing to veer slightly outside of the lane to keep the car under control. At one stage, they even blast through an intersection at around 174 mph (280 km/h).
What arguably makes the whole stunt all the more staggering is the fact that it was filmed on a narrow, two-lane highway, rather than a wide-open one where there would have been a little more margin for error. If the driver hit a pothole, or if an animal ran in front of the Chevy, it could have been lights out.
Local police are pleading with anyone who knows the driver or the car to contact the Antigonish County District RCMP or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers. It’s unclear where exactly the car was filmed speeding, although police believe it happened in the Antigonish area.
