With Chris Evans out the door BBC will go on with the rest of the team, but if anything goes south, 50 Cent is willing to help the motoring program get back on its feet. Yes, really.

Being a Top Gear host is clearly a high-profile gig and although the British television network stated that no one will replace Evans, 50 Cent is just putting it out there that he’s available. At a price, of course…

Talking to Daily Star, Mr Curtis Jackson (his actual name) said: “I would love to work on Top Gear, I could save that show for sure, but it would cost them. There ain’t a car I haven’t owned over the years, my car collection is as good as anybody’s out there.”

Owning lots of cars doesn’t necessarily make you a connoisseur, but there’s no denying TG isn’t what it used to be – and 50 Cent pointed that one out, too.

“The show since the old team left has been unrecognizable and if it don’t get back to where is should be soon then it may never recover. It’s a show you know you can watch any country you are in.”

OK, maybe 50 Cent isn’t the man Top Gear needs (or wants), but it’s good to know the BBC has options.
