Saddened by the discontinuation of the Toyota FJ Cruiser? You’re not alone: it was an epically cool truck inspired by a veritable icon. But we have good news for you, because you can still get your hands on an original FJ-series Land Cruiser and have it restored to immaculate condition by The FJ Company.

The Miami-based outfit specializes in restoring old Land Cruisers, like this beautiful 1967 model – an FJ45LV in Capri Blue and white. It was the pet project of gentleman in Montana, who painstakingly sourced original parts for this most rare of Land Cruisers over the course of ten years.

With his health sadly deteriorating, the vehicle passed on to a collector who commissioned The FJ Company to complete its restoration. The company found it extensively rusted but in highly original condition, right down to the engine and transmission, and supplemented by its former owner’s carefully catalogued stockpile of parts.

The finished product has been sold to a customer in Dubai. But before being shipped off to the Persian Gulf, it will be showcased at the Carmel-by-the-Sea Concours on the Avenue as part of Monterey Car Week, and at SEMA in November.

Like what you see? The FJ Company offers a broad array of restoration and modification for classic Land Cruisers, ranging from the Classic starting at $55,000 all the way up to a fully custom job like this one.
