The Bugatti Chiron recently purchased by a Saudi Prince has made its first public outing in Cannes, sending carspotters into a frenzy.

The Chiron in question is the same example that was displayed at the Geneva Motor Show in March and is running on registration plates from Saudi Arabia.

It is therefore believed to be the first customer owned Chiron anywhere in the world but it isn’t yet known if it is indeed the finished product as development of the hypercar is believed to be ongoing.

Whatever the case may be, there’s no denying the vehicle’s presence on the road. While its design is radically different to the Veyron, it is still instantly recognizable as a Bugatti, thanks to the firm’s trademark horseshoe grille and the circular side line.

Beyond owning the original Chiron show car, Prince Badr bin Saud is also the owner of the one-off Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo Concept car unveiled last year. While it isn’t road legal, it will celebrate its North American debut at the upcoming Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
