Lamborghini will debut the Roadster version of the Centenario supercar at the Quail Golf Club and then bring it on the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

The reveal of the very limited -and very expensive- supercar will happen this Friday, August 19.

Lamborghini plans to build 40 Centenarios in total, 20 Coupes and 20 Roadsters, with a price tag close to $2 million. Each and every example was already sold out even before the Coupe’s public debut at the last Geneva Motor Show.

The Roadster version will of course be powered by the same 770hp V12 engine. While we don’t know what the technical differences will be between the two bodystyles, we can already guess that the topless version will be quite fast.

The coupe is able to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 2.8 seconds, 0 to 186mph in 23.5 seconds and all the way up to 217mph and we expect the Roadster version to not fall much behind.

Built to celebrate one century since Ferruccio Lamborghini’s birth, the Centenario is the latest addition to Lamborghini’s lineup of really limited and really special supercars.
