We may already know what it’s front end looks like but Land Rover has just dropped a series of new teaser images and videos of the all-new 2017 Discovery.

Set to be unveiled at the Paris Auto Show, the new Discovery adopts a far more modern design and closely mimics the stlying of 2014’s Discovery Vision concept. Consequently, it blends together elements of the smaller Discovery Sport with an added dose of attitude to create the sleekest Discovery ever.

As the Land Rover Discovery is a family car first and foremost, the British marque recently tasked a group of children between five and nine to design the model’s final camouflage design. Once adorned in a host of colorful drawings and signed by the names of all involved, off-road testing of the SUV continued.

In one of the new teaser videos, the full range of capabilities of the latest Discovery are showcased in full, including some hardcore testing through sand dunes, snow and deep river crossings. The second teaser video shows the children’s camouflage becoming a reality and draws attention to the model’s focus on families and everyday practicalities.

Underpinning the new Discovery will be Range Rover’s aluminum monocoque, helping the model to be significantly lighter than the outgoing model. Initially, a 2.0-liter Ingenium diesel engine will be offered but further down the road, both petrol and diesel 3.0-liter V6s will be available.
