Audi has finally confirmed what many suspected – the Paris Auto Show world premiere for the all-new RS3 Sedan.

Positioned against the likes of the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 and placed right above the S3, at the top of the new A3 Sedan range, the high-performance compact model will employ a 2.5-liter TFSI turbocharged five-cylinder engine,

Audi says the potent unit will sends 400 horses and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque to all-four wheels through a Quattro all-wheel drive system and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters, which is expected to be the sole choice.

On the outside, the high-performance compact saloon sports an aggressive body kit, complemented by large dual-exhaust pipes and bigger wheels, with different patterns.

Moreover, the 2017 Audi RS3 Sedan gets a tweaked chassis with a stiffer suspension and improved brakes, while inside, it has been revealed that the circular instrument dials are black, with red needles and white scales. As an option, the Audi Virtual Cockpit can be added, with a special RS screen, which sees the rev counter in the center, and the tire pressure, torque and G-forces info on its sides.

Audi will lift the veils off the RS3 Sedan at 2:20 pm CEST (8.20 am EST), during an official press conference that will follow the presentation of the all-new Q5, 20 minutes earlier.
