Famous for his strength and technique with which he knocked down Muhammad Ali back in 1963, Henry Cooper was also known as a car enthusiast.

Over the years, the British boxing legend owned a number of vehicles, including this 1973 Ferrari 365 GT that is now set to hit the auction block at Coys. In its current condition, the Prancing Horse is estimated to fetch up to £70,000 ($87,000), and despite being 43 years old, its odometer shows 60,000 miles (96,560 km).

He loved his cars, was a great motorsport enthusiast and, at one point, even did some club racing alongside his great friend, Graham Hill. Known as ‘Enry’s Ferrari’ by various marque specialists, the provenance of this car makes it a sound investment and could be the ideal Christmas treat for discerning collectors“, said CEO of Coys, Chris Routledge.

When it was originally introduced, the Ferrari 365 GT was one of the world’s most potent four-seaters, thanks to its 4.4-liter V12 that put out 400 horsepower, enough to send the 1,450 kg (3,197 lbs) vehicle from rest to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 5.4 seconds and up to 165 mph (266 km/h).

Besides ‘Enry’s Ferrari’, the Coys’ auction, scheduled for December 5 in Westminster, London, UK, will try to sell other sought after Ferraris, including a 1979 512 Berlinetta Boxer, a 1968 330 GTC Berlinetta, a 1972 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spyder, a 1974 246 GT – E Series, a 2005 F430 and a 2000 550 Maranello ex-press car.

The list also includes a 1969 Porsche 911 S/T, a 1972 Maserati Ghibli, a 1976 Alpine 1600 SC, a 1926 Bentley 3-Liter Short Chassis Sports Tourer, and a 1951 Land Rover Series 1, among others.
