Almost a month after making its debut, Volkswagen has announced pricing for the 2017 Golf in its home market.

Kicking off the range is the Trendline version, which benefits from LED DRLs and taillights, a stop/start system with braking energy recovery, air conditioning and the Composition Color infotainment system.

The starting price for the entry-level Golf that’s powered by a 85 PS (84 HP) 1.0-liter petrol engine is €17,850 for the hatchback, while the cheapest Golf Variant, which uses a 110 PS (108 HP) 1.0-liter TSI unit, starts from €21,575.

Slotting just above the Trendline is the Comfortline grade, with its 16-inch alloy wheels and Front Assist with City Emergency Braking and pedestrian monitoring, while the full-LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels with a special pattern and automatic climate control come with the range-topping Highline trim.

The 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack retails from €33,650 and features the same exterior updates as the rest of the facelifted lineup, along with plastic cladding, increased ground height, underbody protection, special 17-inch alloy wheels, a driver profile selector and several other features. In this form, it uses a 180 PS (177 HP) 1.8-liter petrol mill mated to a dual-clutch gearbox.

With an output of 230 PS (227 HP) for the standard version and 245 PS (242 HP) in the Performance variant, the updated Golf GTI carries a starting price of €29,975 and adds a sport suspension, 17-inch Brooklyn alloy wheels, full-LED headlights, automatic climate control and front sport seats.
