After getting our first glimpse of the Hyundai Veloster N in prototype form a couple of weeks ago, we now get to see it lean in and out of corners on the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife.

Just as before, it’s those massive twin exhaust pipes that give this car away as being more than just any plain old Veloster. It’s also the same setup we saw on that poorly camouflaged i30 N back in February.

Other N-defining features would be the large wheels (possibly 19″ in size), low profile tires and the sporty-looking red calipers. As for what’s hidden underneath the camo, it looks like more aggressive front and rear bumpers, plus a massive rear spoiler.

Inside, you can expect typical hot-hatch touches, like a sports steering wheel, sports seats, different-looking trim and so on.

Underneath the hood, we could be looking at either 250 PS (240 HP) or 275 PS (271 HP) coming from Hyundai’s new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the same one that’s expected to power the i30 N.

As for that RM16 N Concept spotted testing last year, it did have more power at 300 PS (295 HP), although Hyundai engineers might have just been pushing the envelope with the 2.0-liter turbocharged unit to see how much power it could send to the wheels. So an exact number for what’s driving this Veloster N prototype remains unknown.

Since nothing is official, we can only presume that Hyundai might unleash the Veloster N either sometime next year, or in 2019.
