If you’re in the market for a two-door luxury coupe and don’t feel like breaking the bank for a brand new or even slightly used Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe, the older CL63 might be the next best thing.
While this CL63 AMG review from Vehicle Virgins is actually more of a comparison test, unfortunately we don’t get to see the S63 Coupe next to its older sibling, which is a bummer when trying to work out which is better looking.
Looks aside (which are debatable anyway), there’s no doubting the fact that the S63 Coupe is the more advanced car, as pointed out in the video.
Not only is the newer model jam packed with modern-day features, it also has a more luxurious and technologically advanced interior, although the CL63 is by no means lacking in luxury and quality.
The goal of this video was to figure out if you can actually end up happier with the CL63 for half the price of a used S63 Coupe, and in many ways, you might. However, you will have to accept the fact that you won’t get off the line as quickly as you would with an S63. Once you do that, you might actually enjoy driving the CL63 more, which is what happened here.
