After parading around Milan during Fashion Week, BMW‘s new X2 is out and about again, this time spotted in Munich, Germany.

Looking at the wrap, you can tell it features the same design patterns as the Milan prototype, even though a closer look at the bottom part of the bumper and the side skirts, reveals something very interesting.

This particular car appears to be an M-Sport variant of the X2, perhaps even the rumored range-topping X2 M35i xDrive, which is thought to have a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit, putting down some 300 HP.

Such a car was also spotted on a trailer back in June, wearing the same aggressive front bumper and sporty black wheels as this latest prototype. However there was nothing fashionable about that model’s camouflage, whereas these digital patterns will almost make you forgive BMW for not showing you the X2 completely undisguised.

We even have video footage of an M-Styled X2 stretching its wheels on the Nurburgring. It appears to have the same exterior kit as this model here.

Thanks to all these rapid-fire teasers, we can assume that BMW is planning on unveiling the X2 sooner rather than later. So either late 2017 or early 2018.
