If this exact stunt hadn’t been done before and uncovered to be a publicity stunt, we may have almost believed it was real. Sadly, the driver of this sickening Audi R8 V10 didn’t have his windshield smashed by a random skateboarder but instead by his friend all in the name of YouTube views.

The driver of the R8 is 17-year-old Tanner Braungardt, a YouTube star with over 4 million subscribers and a legion of die-hard fans. Like so many other YouTubers making millions at the moment, Braungardt drives a supercar, namely an R8 V10 with a rose gold chrome wrap.

Perhaps sensing an opportunity to get some views and YouTube revenue, Braungardt enlisted the help of his friend to smash the car’s windshield with his skateboard in the middle of a public street. For bystanders, it probably looked very real. However, the handful of cameramen filming nearby would have raised our eyebrows if we were there.

The skateboarder pretended to be upset at the teenager revving the Audi prior to smashing the glass.

The internet is home to many weird and wacky things and sadly, smashing an expensive windshield is just the tip of the iceberg of what kids are willing to do these days to up their subscriber counts. Sad.
