Couple Of Alfa Romeo 4Cs Turn Heads In Monaco

One doesn’t have to drive the latest supercar to stand out in Monaco, as a much humbler Alfa Romeo 4C can do the trick just as well.

With a starting price of €63,500 ($78,303) in Germany, for the base model, it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg either, although it’s not exactly a best-seller, with only 407 examples moved last year.

Choosing the entry-level model doesn’t mean you get less power. On the contrary, all versions are powered by a mid-mounted 1.75-liter petrol engine that churns out 240PS (237hp) and 350Nm (258lb-ft) of torque.

The official naught to 100km/h (0-62mph) sprint takes only 4.5 seconds and top speed stands at 258km/h (160mph). That’s 0.6sec faster than the entry-level Porsche 718 Cayman, which is some 10,000 ($12,330) cheaper.

So, given that the 4C models isn’t that popular with sports car buyers, spotting one on the road doesn’t happen that often. This brings us to the following video that was shot in the Principality.

The clip shows a couple of Italian sports cars cruising down the streets, and through the famous tunnel, in front of the excited bystanders.

The red example appears to have an aftermarket exhaust system fitted to it, hence the deeper symphony emanating from it.

Enough chit-chat, though; you can scroll down and check out the video for yourselves.

Another article full of hate while talking about Alfa.
Keep ask to yourself why the people turns the heads when a 4C drives through

    • Matt

To be fair, there isn’t much ‘hate’ in the article (and I’m an Alfa fan).

      • LeStori

I agree. The reason it is not selling well , I suspect, is it is very impractical. Essentially a hard core track day car. Difficult to get into. Hard to get out off . If you have seen a rotund person getting out of a Lamborghini , then you have seen a thin one getting out of a 4C. Combined with it lacking creature comforts, it is for the select few. Looks fantasic on the road.

  • Michelin

Do Cristian Gnaticov know another car with carbonfiber chassis that sell more than 400 cars/year in U.S. ???

  • Shahul Usman

I really wanted a 4C.. love the look, and the carbon tub and the italianess.. lol but I dont love the engine and auto only… plus I didnt love the lack of power steering on my lotus (On track was just ok… not as cool as people lead you to believe), heard the Alfa was worse anyways…went for a new corvette grand sport oddly..Z07, manual

Because there are many wealthy people there.

Impressive,, I don’t see why not!
