We have yet to see a drag race featuring this trio of cars, namely the Dodge Challenger Demon, the Viper GTS and the C6 Corvette ZR1 – which are all out of production, with the final examples of the first two being auctioned last month and the C6 Vette being out of commission for a long time.

Luckily, the virtual world can always be relied on to provide glimpses of what could happen in the real world.

This one comes courtesy of Forza 7, where these three extremely powerful vehicles engage in a high speed, long distance drag race, attempted from a standstill as well as from a roll.

In the real world, where physics tend to be a little different than what the game’s algorithm might dictate, the Dodge Demon fights gravity and air resistance with the help of a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8, tuned to produce 840 HP (851 PS) and 1,042 Nm (770 lb-ft) of torque on race fuel. It’s enough to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 2.3 seconds and a 1/4 mile in 9.65 seconds, but what about really long distances?

That’s where something like a Viper GTS or an older Corvette ZR1 might have an advantage, since they’re lighter and more aerodynamic, and sufficiently powerful themselves, with around 640 horses each.

Of course, neither can match the Demon in sheer power and torque, which is why we were very curious to see what would happen way beyond the 1/4 mile mark, if somehow these three cars ever found a clear patch of road.

Without telling you who won and by how much, we will say that the two races (standstill and roll) had somewhat different results. Now, if only someone could bring those three together in an actual drag strip and see how much real-world results differ from those of the game…
