Volkswagen Scirocco Rolls Thrice In Brutal Nurburgring Crash

The Nurburgring is not only an extremely fun place to test the limits of cars, but a very dangerous one, too, which has claimed the integrity of numerous vehicles over the years and, worse of all, even a few lives, too.

Luckily, however, the driver of this Volkswagen Scirocco appears to have walked away from a horrific crash on her own, according to the description of the video posted at the bottom of the page.

The same cannot be said of the German coupe, which suffered a lot of damages that have probably made it a write-off. Okay, so what happened in the precious seconds before the impact?

The film shows the Scirocco approaching a left turn (Metzgesfeld?) and slightly losing it, but the traction control kicked in and she was able to recover. But as the car carried too much speed, the inevitable happened in the next left corner, as it missed the braking zone and plunged head-on into the side barrier.

What happens next is truly shocking, as the car rolls three times before landing on its roof. Immediately, one of the track officials waves the yellow flag, which signals a hazard on the track.

As for the driver, she apparently honked twice to let everyone know that she’s okay and eventually managed to find her way out of the wreckage on her own.

The Scirocco was eventually picked up by a towing truck, suffering some more damage – but the important thing is that the driver walked away unhurt.

    Betcha that Tussik guy can have this thing looking new in a week.

    The driver is actually a colleague of a good friend of mine. That was her second time at the Ring and the first time in her own car…ouch 😅

      Hey, she drove the ‘Ring at 11/10 and lived to tell the tale. That’s worth a replacement car.

    Gee Whiz what a ride. Luckily the driver was unhurt.

    Looks like that tire barrier needs to be extended to the apex of the next curve.

    Any lady who runs the “Ring”, crashes, rolls and gets out alive gets a marriage proposal….
    “How you doin?”

    In my eyes poor driver judgement, already nearly loosing it in the corner before, and still pushing on, and then FWD magic happens (under steer); I kind of doubt the honking was intentionally to show she is okay, as it is happening during the second and third roll, likely either hitting the steering wheel or some relays going of

    I’m impressed the Scirocco kept it’s shape so well though, given the rather brutal roll 3 times;
