Lynk & Co is celebrating the public debut of the new 03 four-door sedan at the Chengdu Motor Show, releasing along the way a detailed gallery that finally includes some interior shots.

The new Lynk & Co 03 is the brand’s first sedan model and the third one in general, following the introduction of the 01 and 02 SUV models. The East still has an appetite for sedans and apparently Lunk & Co wants a piece of the market.

The design follows the same guidelines with the aforementioned models, with the front end adopting the distinctive light setup we’ve learned to expect from a Lynk & Co, featuring the separate DRLs on top of the actual headlights.

The rest of the car remains subtly dynamic and interesting in general, with the sides getting a strong shoulder line and the rear end featuring the L-shaped LED taillights, dual exhausts and a small lip on the trunk.

Our first official look at the Lynk & Co 03’s interior contains no surprises; previous scoops and leaks had already given us a first taste of its dashboard. A big touchscreen display for the infotainment system, as well as a digital instrument cluster are the first things you notice, along with the rectangle air vents.

There are a few physical buttons and knobs, including for the climate control. Lynk & Co also points out that the interior of the 03 features the world’s first in-car share button, wireless charging and a dedicated app store. The company also offers free data traffic connectivity so that your new Lynk & Co will always be connected to the internet.

The new Lynk & Co 03 rides on the CMA platform, which also underpins the Volvo XC40. The engine range includes a turbocharged 148hp 1.5-liter three-cylinder and a turbocharged 187hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder, with the company also to add a plug-in hybrid version which uses the 1.5-liter engine and a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.

Lynk & Co says that the first deliveries of the new 03 will begin in China later this year, but they won’t give a date for other regions just yet. The Geely-owned brand has already confirmed that the 01 and 02 crossover models will be launched in late 2019 in Europe and in 2020 in North America.
