When it comes to Tesla, be it the Model S, Model X or even the newer Model 3 and Y, people tend to appreciate the package as a whole. It’s not just that these are fully electric vehicles or that they feature ultra advanced safety tech, as their modern-looking interiors also attract crowds.
They are clutter-free and don’t feature many physical buttons, apart from those on the steering wheel and door panels. So you’d think that buyers who are appreciative of such things would leave well enough alone.
How much leather is too much leather?
Short answer: this much. The materials used look like they were sourced straight from somebody’s cowboy boots, or from a whole bunch of crocodile leather wallets. Quite honestly, we’ve never seen so much contrast stitching inside a car, and we wouldn’t be surprised if most of you found it downright nightmarish.
We also notice a few other additions to the cabin, such as the box of tissues, a couple of weird looking buttons on either side of the touchscreen display, plus a U.S. Army sticker – although we’d be happy to see this EV get shipped overseas, straight into a war zone.
In conclusion, remember this customized Model X from T Sportline? We actually never thought we’d see anything more questionable than its bespoke Bentley Red interior, but alas, we were wrong. At least these images ended up where they belong, on Reddit’s main thread for awful car mods.
