New Corvette C8 Rendering Is One Of The Most Daring Yet

The official debut of the all-new Chevrolet Corvette C8 is still more than two months away so until then we can only hope GM reveals more revealing teasers and peels off more camouflage from its test prototypes.

To sweeten the wait for all you Corvette fans, we want to show you a new rendering that’s completely different to the many CGIs you’ve seen so far. Authored by HanbinDesign and brought to our attention by Corvette Blogger, this image was not created using Corvette C8 test prototypes as a starting point.

Think of it as more of an exercise of imagination than an accurate indication of what the finished item will look like. That said, it’s probably one of the most striking interpretations of the upcoming Corvette we’ve seen so far.

It looks very aggressive and we especially dig the way the artist imagined the A-pillars which seem suspended in the air in the area of the side mirrors. Speaking of the side mirrors, their small size indicates they are probably rearview cameras. In reality, the production car will feature real side mirrors.

The aero kit looks really aggressive with highlights including the sculpted hood, sharp front wing, and side skirts. At the rear, the image is rather blurry in the area of the spoiler so we imagine this is a work in progress.

The big vertical air intakes located behind the doors are a clear indication of the engine’s position while the vents located on the outer side of the headlights are a nice touch as well. Let us know what you think about this rendering in the comments.

  • Toronado_II

This is just a first pass, but I like the path he has taken.

  • Liam Paul

will never look that good and if truth be told…

    • Bash

      You got that right bro.

  • BlackPegasus
  • TheBelltower

    Seriously with the renderings?

  • Some ol’ bloke

This corvette c8 is just like the honda nsx and toyota supra mkv – Overplayed and strung out for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssss… A bit boring now….

  • Nordschleife

Now this is a rendering I can get with. @mikeAnonymous, the head lights look to be in keep with the spy shots….Do you agree?

    • lagunas3ca

He’s still typing up his response in story form.

      • Nordschleife

        I like Mike’s responses.

  • Jay

This is my favorite render so far. Looks great!

  • Six_Tymes

    OK, now that looks amazing

    • Smith

Amazingly bad and amazingly ugly, yes.

      • Dude

You sure you have the right image?

  • ctk4949

NSX with front vette and Ferrari headlights??

  • Smith

Way to use a Lambo with a Vette front end. Horrible!

  • Emoto

The good news is that in another couple of months we won’t have to endure any more of these endless “news articles” that do nothing more than show someone else’s idea of what the car might look like.

  • Dude

I pray it looks like that’s probably the most gorgeous merger of contemporary supercar design and the sharp Corvette style

  • ErnieB

    But …. but…. I won’t look anything like this though ..

  • john1168

I’m seeing a lot of Lotus Esprit concept/ Lambo Huracan in this render. It looks good but the side view is totally wrong.

  • SteersUright

If it looked anything like this, it would be absolutely awesome and totally ready to take on a McLaren or Huracan. Sadly, its pretty clear its nowhere near this good looking.

  • veri nicely detailed design. loved the front end yet it’s a simple one.

  • CBV2020

HIGHLY DOUBT it will look this good.

  • tenrten

Much nicer than all I’ve seen before especially the rear vent which is very nicely rounded as opposed to the sharp edges that appear to take place with the camouflage photos…. I would buy this car!
