You’ll Be Stunned By How Quick This 730 HP Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S Is

The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S has been blowing people’s minds from the moment it was released – and this particular example is even more special than most.

That’s because, whereas a standard GT 63 S features a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 630 hp and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque, this one has even more.

The company responsible for this modified GT 63 S is called Performmaster. Thanks to the inclusion of the PEC Tuning Module which directly connects to the AMG engine control unit, the car now produces 730 hp and 760 lb-ft (1030 Nm) of torque. Sport Auto recently had the opportunity to test the car.

During its test, Sport Auto was able to launch the car to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3 seconds flat, just 0.1 seconds off Performmaster’s claim, and 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.9 seconds, a time which is perhaps even more impressive than the first one. The run was recorded on a race circuit and, if done on a prepped drag strip, even lower numbers might have been achieved.

Performmaster didn’t called it a day after installing the power module into the GT 63 S, though, but adorned the super saloon with a bespoke aerodynamic package which includes a front splitter, rear wing, and a rear diffuser, while customers can also opt for a lowered adjustable suspension. Only 31 units of the tuner’s GT 63 S performance package will be produced to celebrate its 31st anniversary.

We were lucky when gas prices were stable, I still drive a small car, with gas going from $2 to $4 a gallon by what Mr Orange decides to piss off that week, you have to plan ahead to get gas.

          • Jason Panamera

            I wish we had 4$ for a gallon… we got 1.5+ € for a liter.

          • KAG25

The way things are going it will double for a few years. People are nuts here, drive huge trucks that get maybe 10 mpg, but live far away, like 30 miles from the city.
