Kevin Hart’s Hellcat-Swapped Barracuda Is An Exercise In Sophistication And Power

Kevin Hart isn’t just one of the world’s most famous comedians but also a successful actor and, of more importance to us, a huge car enthusiast. This is his latest ride.

To celebrate his 40th birthday, Hart picked up a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda and sent it to HP Tuners for a series of extensive modifications, including the fitment of a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 Hellcat engine.

The restomod clearly wasn’t cheap, and while we don’t know exactly how much power Hart’s modified ‘Cuda has, it’s probably roughly the same 707 hp as both the Charger Hellcat and Challenger Hellcat models. What we do know for certain is that this huge engine has been paired with a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission sending its power to the rear wheels, not the six-speed the Hellcat is available with.

Inside, the Plymouth looks unlike any other we’ve seen before. Perhaps the first thing you’ll notice is that, it sports a rotary dial to switch between Park, Reverse, Neutral and Drive. The muscle car has also been equipped with power windows and bathed in plush leather. There is also a bespoke steering wheel and new gauges creating a cabin which looks to be the perfect blend of modern and retro.

As for the exterior, it is painted in a dark shade of blue and has been fitted with black wheels, while a peak under the hood reveals an exceptionally clean engine bay bathed in carbon fiber.

I can’t get over the g ay joke he said on twitter! Hes shouldn’t be famous! #KevinHartIsCancelled.

      Girl please!

I don’t even know what he said on Twitter, I could never understand how he got famous in the first place. He’s not funny. His jokes are just him yelling like he’s angry about something. Exasperation is not a joke. I keep thinking he’ll go away, but somehow he keeps coming back. Stop giving idiots money just to make them famous for being famous.

Someone said a joke that hurt your feelings so deeply that you must disregard anything the person does for the rest of their life? Glad I haven’t backed myself into a corner of sensitivity that makes it impossible to get out.

      • 2PacOfCarscoop

dude, did you read his joke about being g ay or trans? NOT COOL!

        • Super Rob

Don’t need to. You said joke and that is all I need to know. Grow up, the world isn’t going to agree with you on everything you think. If you want everyone who doesn’t agree to be fired, have the world refuse service to them, and have their families disown them, then you end up with a place like N. Korea. Everyone staying strictly to the status quo and you must obey the approved line of thinking or else. Unfortunately the younger generation right now is sprinting towards a one thought or else society with zero idea what it looks like. So Kevin Hart said a joke. He has said ones I didn’t like either, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to not see movies like Jumanji because he said one thing. It’s called being an actual adult.

If jokes make som uncomfortable or afraid it shouldn’t be allowed.. Some censorship or control should be a law, before making a joke. IDK how to explain it but I can recommend a video with one of the biggest comedians, Amy Schumer, she explains it very well. I think it’s important to think before say…

          • Super Rob

Everything you say makes me uncomfortable. I want it censored and you lose the right to say it. I do know how to explain it. Having watched many societies suffer under the “you are prohibited from saying this” it will only end poorly. There is always someone who decides what should, and should not be allowed. You being offended or uncomfortable doesn’t trample the rest of the countries rights. History repeats itself, because young people like yourself refuse to look back at the lessons of the past. You are wanting to go down a road right now that will cause unbelievable suffering. It’s nicely disguised as “not hurting someone, or being a decent person”. It always does.

Your words are so disgusting ! How dare you!

          • Super Rob

Your words are those of a young kid who is so inexperienced in EVERYTHING, it’s ridiculous that I’m even bothering to reply. You are so naive that you can’t even understand what I’m even saying.

You should consider the fact that YOUr being unable to get over someone’s joke about ANYthing makes that YOUR issue… Not anyone else’s!

This build is awesome, and so is Kevin. Really love the details on this Cuda. I wish Kevin Hart and the Rock would do another Central Intelligence movie, that was good clean fun.

It’s an article about a cool car someone got for their 40th b-day, can we leave the social commentary to an article regarding acting, standup, or some other entertainment venture? Nope, it’s not like the guy is running for office where his opinion on LGBT would matter.
