Infiniti To Debut Special ‘Edition 30’ Model Lineup At Pebble Beach

Infiniti is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and as part of the celebrations the company is launching a special ‘Edition 30’ version for the Q50, Q60, QX50, QX60 and QX80.

The new ‘Edition 30’ versions of Infiniti’s lineup will arrive at dealerships in the fall of this year as 2020 models, featuring more safety kit as standard, as well as special styling touches.

Features such as Intelligent Cruise Control, Distance Control Assist, Around View Monitor, Backup Collision Intervention and Predictive Forward Collision Warning will be part of the standard equipment.

In addition, all Edition 30 models will come with unique styling detailing, including dark chrome exterior grille surround, fender trim and rear finisher, as well as black door mirrors, dark-finish alloy wheels and a body-colored rear apron.

Infiniti was born to redefine the rules within the luxury space, and we continue to deliver a level of luxury that is meant to be lived in and to be experienced to the fullest,” said Jeff Pope, group vice president, Infiniti Americas.

“The Infiniti Edition 30 models are the latest representation of this vision, bringing together inspired design and advanced driver assistance technology that we pioneered,” Pope added.

The new special ‘Edition 30’ Infiniti lineup will make its public debut at the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance. The Japanese car maker says it will release more details on the new ‘Edition 30’ models closer to their on-sale date.

I think you all left out an important fact in the article… “featuring some of the world’s first driver assistance technologies that INFINITI has brought to market. Included as standard are features typically offered as part of the ProASSIST package, such as Intelligent Cruise Control, Distance Control Assist, Around View Monitor, Backup Collision Intervention and Predictive Forward Collision Warning.”

Infiniti has definitely dropped the ball lately but I don’t think they get enough credit for all of the worlds first innovations they brought to the market. So making these features standard makes sense in THAT context… because reading the article I was honestly thinking “WTH? Safety features to celebrate 30 years?”

What a sad looking range, most of which look overdue for replacement.

Wouldn’t it be nice if all these 30th anniversary additions would have displayed Carplay and Android Auto.

Is the “30th” indicating that only 30 each of these ugly models has been sold? Do you wanna brag about that?

    • Dennis Scipio

what are you taking about? they’re not that bad looking.

      • Bo Hanan

And your wife is pretty too……….

      • SteersUright

They aren’t horrible looking, I agree. They’ve aged rather decently but, they’ve aged. Nothing looks fresh, class leading, or can be called “gorgeous” either.

As much as the comment section likes to hate, I see tons of each of these on the road every single day. They must be doing something right.

      It’s the group think mentality.

      • SteersUright

Wrong. Its called exceptionally cheap lease deals. They are essentially giving these away these days, to make it appear as if their sales are strong. Try to find articles on Nissan’s margins these days. Lets just say the picture is not very pretty.

Infiniti is well past being able to pull off “special editions”. Their lineup is an old, outdated disgrace.
