As far as weird driving maneuvers go, this is probably one of the strangest we’ve come across for quite some time.
We’re not sure where this clip was filmed and stumbled across it while browsing Reddit. The thread describes what the driver is doing as an O-turn, and while it’s not clear what their intention was, it is pretty unusual.

The video shows the car approaching an intersection and beginning to sharply turn to the left in what appears to be a simple U-turn. However, the driver continues to turn left and, initially, we thought they’d decided against making a U-turn and simply wanted to turn back into traffic. That clearly wasn’t the case, however, as the driver continues to turn, goes right through a pedestrian crossing and slams straight into a lamp post.
The bizarre nature of the incident might be due to the driver suffering some kind of a sudden medical episode – or maybe they were talking on the phone, texting or what-have-you and ended up hitting that post.
While we can see smoke billowing out from the engine bay of the small hatchback shortly after the crash, the video cuts out before we’re able to see if any nearby drivers offered any assistance to the motorist. In any case, we sure hope the driver is OK and are glad the accident occurred at such a low speed, or else the consequences might have been more dire.
