Nissan is in the midst of updating their sedan lineup and the next model to be redesigned is the Sentra.
According to Car & Driver, the new sedan will be unveiled on November 19th – just days ahead of the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Nissan hasn’t said much about the 2020 Sentra, but it is expected to follow in the footsteps of the Sylphy which debuted at the Shanghai Motor Show earlier this year. As a result, we can expect the model will have a prominent V-Motion grille that is flanked by slender headlights.

Further back, there should be a sculpted hood, a rakish windscreen and streamlined bodywork. Since the model will also resemble the Altima and Maxima, we can expect a black accent on the C-pillar as well as prominent character lines above the wheels.
The upscale styling will continue in the cabin and drivers can expect to find higher quality materials and new switchgear. Details will be announced next week, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the Sentra has a three-spoke steering wheel that resides in front of a new instrument cluster with a 7-inch digital display. To the right, we can expect a freestanding 8-inch infotainment system which is mounted above circular air vents and new controls for the climate control system.
Previous reports have suggested the car will come equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 149 hp (111 kW / 151 PS) and 145 lb-ft (196 Nm) of torque. That remains unconfirmed, but it would be a significant improvement over the outgoing model’s 1.8-liter four-cylinder that develops 124 hp (92 kW / 126 PS) and 125 lb-ft (169 Nm) of torque.
