The first customer-owned example of the Apollo IE was recently delivered and is so astonishing to look at that it makes Paganis and Koenigseggs seem somewhat boring.
This particular IE was ordered by a wealthy car collector known as @fastcarsandguns on Instagram. He also happens to own the one-off Koenigsegg Agera ML and commissioned the Apollo to look unlike any other hypercar on earth.
Adorning the exterior of the car, officially dubbed the Apollo IE ML Chameleon Golden Dragon, are exposed carbon fiber body panels painted in a host of different hues that change depending on the angle at which you look at the car. Among the most prominent colors are purple, red, and gold. The only car we’ve seen with a similar chameleon carbon fiber finish was a McLaren P1 from a few years ago that has since been transformed with matte carbon panels.

Inside, this special Apollo IE is clad in blue Alcantara and features a number of parts wrapped in gold leather.
Found beneath the crazy bodywork is a 6.3-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine that’s been uprated to a claimed 769 hp and 561 lb-ft (760 Nm) of torque. Underpinning the hypercar is a carbon fiber chassis co-developed with HWA AG and Capricorn Group. The car is said to be so strong it “partly exceeds respective FIA LMP2 safety requirements.”
There are just 10 examples of the Apollo IE bound for the hands of customers and each has a starting price of $2.71 million. We’ve got no doubt the exterior finish of this example set back the owner a serious premium.
