The Ford F-150 is one of America’s most best-selling vehicles and loved all across the country. However, it’s not one known for being particularly fast or thrilling to drive, at least not in non-Raptor guise. This example is a little different.
The F-150 in question comes from Lund Racing and is owned by Bryan Luna. It has been comprehensively modified and is so quick that it can out-accelerate any stock supercar on earth.
Powering the pickup is a 5.0-liter V8 engine from a Mustang GT that has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers. Other changes made include custom headers, side pipes, software changes, and an upgraded fuel system with enlarged injectors that allows the truck to run on E85. All up, it produces 1,100 hp and the engine is coupled with Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission albeit upgraded with a McCleod clutch kit, The Drive reports.

With all of its power sent to the rear wheels, the truck recently stormed down the quarter-mile in just 8.951 seconds at 154.53 mph (248.6 km/h) when running on a set of specific drag tires.
To put such a time into perspective, it’s worth looking at what times the market’s most expensive supercars and hypercars can achieve down the quarter-mile.
Only a handful of standard street cars have ever dipped into the 9-second range and include the likes of the McLaren 720S, LaFerrari, Porsche 918 Spyder, McLaren P1, Bugatti Chiron, and the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. The world’s quickest 720S, outfitted with a number of modifications, has recorded a best time of 8.7 seconds. Clearly, this F-150 is an absolute weapon.
