The cockpit creates a very pleasant atmosphere late at night, courtesy of the multi-color ambient lighting, with LED strips that span from the dashboard to the door cards and center console. The driver is fed with the necessary information through the digital dials, head-up display and rotating infotainment system that carries over from the Continental GT, like most of the dashboard.

A quiet and refined intercontinental cruiser, the 2020 Flying Spur turns into a big missile on wheels when needed. It’s fitted with the 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine that delivers 626 HP (635 PS / 467 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque to the wheels, via an eight-speed automatic transmission, made by Porsche and refined by Bentley.

For a car that tips the scales at around 5,500 lbs (2.5 tons), it can hit the 62 mph (100 km/h) mark in just 3.8 seconds, before maxing out at 207 mph (333 km/h).

Bentleys have always been a status symbol, and the new Flying Spur continues the tradition. This is a nice way of reminding ourselves that it’s one expensive car that starts at almost $220,000 in the United States. For that kind of money, you could get a brand new Mercedes-Maybach and spare around $40,000, or two S-Class sedans.
