While the Koenigsegg Jesko and Gemera may have been getting all the hype in the past few months, it’s impossible to forget about the Swedish automaker’s most potent straight-line weapon, the hybrid Regera.

Unveiled back at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015, the Regera is powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that works alongside three YASA electric motors. All up, the car delivers 1,479 hp and 1,475 lb-ft (2,000 Nm) of torque and features an intriguing ‘Koenigsegg Direct Drive System’ which means the car lacks a traditional transmission. The Regera featured in this particular video is one of the most striking we have come across.

For starters, the exterior is finished in a special blue carbon fiber that we’re sure was eye-wateringly expensive. Contrasting the body finish are a plethora of real carbon fiber accents, in particular across areas of the front fascia, the sides (including the skirts), and the rear wing.

This Regera has also been fitted with the available ‘Ghost Package.’ That means it features an enlarged front splitter accented by new carbon fiber canards, unique fins on the rear decklid, and a bespoke suspension system. The gold accents continue at the rear with gold Koenigsegg and Regera badges and a gold ‘Ghost Squadron’ badge just behind the rear glass. Our favorite part of this particular Regera is the gorgeous gold wheels with black centerlocks.

The interior has been specced to nicely match the outside. Consequently, there is a plethora of blue Alcantara, including across the seats, door panels, and dashboard. There are also loads of matte carbon fiber parts and dashings of gold throughout.
