How Much Do You Think This 8k Mile E30 1988 BMW M3 Will Sell For?

People who don’t necessarily appreciate how big and heavy BMW M cars have gotten over the years can always turn to something from the mid-to-late 80s in order to get a lighter, smaller M car with impeccable dynamics.

The E30-generation BMW M3 is a perfect example, with U.S. spec models tipping the scale at just 2,735 lbs (1,240 kg). This particular one is getting auctioned off through Bring a Trailer, with just 8,000 miles (12,900 km) on its 2.3-liter inline four.

Its exterior is finished in Zinnoberrot (vermilion/bright red), and aside from all the stock M3 bits (side skirts, front and rear bumpers, fender flares), we can also see a BMW M3 Sport Evolution rear spoiler and front splitter. Other exterior features include the 15-inch basketweave alloys with BMW center caps and four-wheel ventilated discs.

This is a really well maintained car and the interior is no exception. Here, you have natural tan leather upholstery with matching carpets and door panels, a black dashboard, factory BMW-embossed floor mats, plus must-have features like air conditioning, power windows and cruise control.

As for what makes this E30 M3 tick, that would be a 2.3-liter inline-four rated at 192 HP (195 PS) and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque. You then shift gears using a five-speed manual transmission, which suits this car perfectly.
