A rare 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera that has been fitted with a pair turbochargers is up for grabs.

The first-generation Gallardo Superleggera is a bit of an icon in Lamborghini’s history and went on to inspire various other lightweight and track-focused variants of the Gallardo and Huracan.

First-gen Gallardo models are also very popular to modify and this car has received a suite of upgrades from Underground Racing. Most notably, the 5.0-liter V10 has been outfitted with a pair of turbochargers and a Stage 3 package that results in 1,000 hp at the wheels when running on 93-octane fuel. Mated to this engine is a six-speed e-gear automatic transmission powering all four wheels. The upgrades are said to be worth about $100,000 and, in a straight-line, we have no doubt this Lamborghini could leave many a hypercar in its dust.

The supercar has also been equipped with 19-inch three-piece HRE C103 wheels with polished outer lips shod in Toyo Proxes T888R tires. It also has the front fascia from a Gallardo LP570-4 and a suspension-lift system. Moreover, as this is a Superleggera, it features upgrades like a carbon fiber rear wing, rear diffuser, mirror housings, and new side skirts.

According to the Bring a Trailer auction, the selling dealer acquired the car in early 2020 and has performed a complete inspection while also replacing the spark plugs. It is being sold with manuals from Underground Racing, partial service records, a clean Carfax report and a clean California title, while it has just 6,800 miles (10,943 km) under its belt.
