The Dodge Viper is one heck of a performance car and this particular example is more extraordinary than most.
This is a 2013 model that has been modified by a company by the name of Prefix and is quite special. What Prefix has created is a Viper 9.0L Extreme Engine package which, as the name implies, involves a stroker kit that sees the Viper’s V10 jump from 8.4-liters to 9.0-liters. The package also includes a non-VVT camshaft, CNC cylinder heads, 2.125-inch intake valves and 1.608-inch exhaust valves. Other upgrades include Mahle forged pistons, Steel Moly-filled piston rings and H-beam forged connecting rods.

At idle, the engine modifications, in particularly the camshaft, make this Viper sound like a proper drag racer. Once you hit the throttle, the engine starts to howl and sounds like it is revving much higher than it actually is.
The Prefix kit sees the Viper pump out an impressive 825 hp and 750 lb-ft (1,016 Nm) of torque, which are impressive numbers for a road-going engine that doesn’t use forced induction.
Transforming a Viper into a howling beast like this doesn’t come cheap, though, as the package costs $26,000 – and that’s before it is actually fitted and the car is tuned.
