Mil-Spec Automotive has revealed the new M1 series of restomodded Hummers which kicks off with the M1-R H1, the company’s most luxurious build to date.

The new Hummer M1-R represents the pinnacle of Mil-Spec Automotive’s business, following thousands of hours of restoration and engineering. The goal here was to not only create the most impressive Hummer H1 ever but to offer one of the most jaw-dropping custom supertrucks available out there.

Of course, this sort of detailed restoration and re-engineering is accompanied by a similarly large price tag, and the specific Mil-Spec Hummer M1-R was commissioned at a price of $412,000. Prices for the new M1 Series start from a slightly less dizzying $299,500.

Power comes from a modified 6.6-liter Duramax diesel V8 producing no less than 800 HP and 1,200 lb-ft of torque. Mil-Spec has also added a Rod Hall long-travel racing suspension, six-piston brakes, and an air-locking differential.

The cabin is completely bespoke, with all plastic bits and trims replaced by machined and anodized metal parts, in addition to a completely redesigned center console that now features billet alloy trim and hosts the gear selector, electronic gear indicator, and electronic parking brake.

Other interior details include new dual-zone climate controls, custom-built sun visors and a billet-machined steering wheel bolted to a custom column. All the switches and buttons are new and carefully matched for a more cohesive and premium aesthetic. Mil-Spec even added windshield wiper switches made from anodized aluminum.

The exterior of the first Mil-Spec Hummer M1-R is finished in a custom bright yellow paintwork inspired by the original H1’s Competition Yellow. Inside, there are acres of color-matched and very elaborately stitched Nappa leather that was sourced from New York’s Relicate.
