Cars & Coffee might as well change their name to Crashes & Coffee as the inevitable has happened yet again.

Thankfully, Mustang owners can breathe a sigh of relief as the latest genius was behind the wheel of a murdered out Dodge Challenger Hellcat.

Like so many other crashes before it, the latest incident started when the driver was apparently leaving the event. After a Chevrolet Silverado passes, the Challenger pulls out onto the street and begins accelerating.

While they don’t appear to have been attempting anything too extreme, the driver loses control a short distance later. As you can see, the rear end slides out and the Challenger slams into the rear passenger side of the Silverado.

This PIT-like maneuver lifts the truck up on its side, but it quickly returns to the ground. However, the force of the impact eventually pushes the Silverado up against a curb and then flips it over.

The video ends shortly thereafter, but the uploader said the occupants of the truck were okay. That’s good news as no one should ever get hurt by an idiot’s failed attempt to show off.

While there’s no word on whether or not the driver was cited for anything, the 2021 Challenger SRT Hellcat has a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 717 hp (535 kW / 727 PS) and 656 lb-ft (889 Nm) of torque.
