Luxury watchmaker Jacob & Co. has released a special edition timepiece called “Fast & Furious Twin Turbo” (no, really) designed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Fast & Furious franchise. In honor of the latest installment in the series, F9, the line will be limited to just nine examples.

The latest movie isn’t the only one this watch celebrates, though. With a pair of cars on the face that (if you squint real hard) look like the Dodge Challenger and Toyota Supra that were featured in the climactic final race of the first movie, Jacob & Co. is working hard to reference the entire series.

Starting at $580,000, per Luxury Launches, the watch is based on the company’s Twin Turbo watch, which features twin triple-axis tourbillon mechanisms, a decimal minute repeater, and a pit board time calculator. All of which are powered by an 832-component JCFM05 manual wound movement that is exclusive to Jacob & Co.

The “Pit Board” feature allows you to set a reference time to compare lap times. According to Jacob & Co.:

Inspired by the old-time pit boards in auto racing, you use the crank (pulled out to the first position and unfolded) to move the colored, rotating disk and central digital display to set the reference time. Then, when you operate the monopusher chronograph normally, you can easily see the difference between the current time and the reference time you set.

Also unique to this watch is the name “Fast & Furious Twin Turbo,” which is etched onto the sapphire caseback. The watch is the first in the Twin Turbo line to use titanium, which is known for its low weight and is matched here with a carbon case. Neoralithe, an innovative, transparent material, is being used for the first time for the inner red ring of the bezel.

Fast & Furious uses innovation and new technologies to disrupt the action movie space,” said Jacob Arabo, founder of Jacob & Co. “We do the same thing with Swiss watchmaking and this sort of disruption through innovation continues to be our goal.”

“Our Twin Turbo Furious is such a natural fit for the Fast & Furious franchise,” CEO Benjamin Arabov said. “Not only the name of our watch but the whole emphasis on speed and being exceptional. Jacob & Co. has been in many important and successful partnerships, but we have never partnered with an entity that so closely fits our DNA. The new Fast & Furious Twin Turbo Furious watches are going to be awesome.”

The watch is – well, the most polite way I can put it is that beauty is subjective. But if this appeals to you and you happen to be lucky enough to be able to afford it, then you might also be interested in Jacob & Co.’s Scarface watch. Both of which can be combined to make your watch case look like your dorm room wall in college. We look forward to the Family Guy watch that will presumably follow this one, based on the clientele the company seems to be catering to.

If you can’t afford this watch but would enjoy seeing money spent this frivolously, you’re in luck! F9, the latest installment in the Fast & Furious franchise hits movie theaters on June 25.
